October 28, 2026 · wweather1 editorial · 1 min read

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a Coastal Flood Warning for coastal areas in San Diego County and Orange County, remaining in effect until 1 PM PDT Thursday.

Significant coastal flooding is expected during this warning period. High tides occurring in the late mornings will bring rising water levels to the affected regions.

Observed high tides are currently measuring 1.4 to 1.6 feet above astronomical tide predictions. The ongoing conditions will feature high tides each day in the late morning.

Impacts from the flooding include potential closures of numerous roads. Low-lying property, including homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure, will be inundated, and shoreline erosion is expected during the late morning hours.
