The affected areas include Lake Havasu, Fort Mohave, the Arizona sides of Lake Mead and Lake Mohave, the Hualapai Mountains, the Northwest Deserts, Death Valley National Park, the Western and Eastern Mojave Desert including the Mojave National Preserve, Morongo Basin, Cadiz Basin, and the San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley.

Officials note that heat-related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat events. Residents and workers in the affected regions are encouraged to keep updated on the latest forecasts and follow standard heat safety guidelines.
