Extreme Heat Warning Issued for Parts of Southern California
The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the Coachella Valley, San Diego County Deserts, and San Gorgonio Pass near Banning, valid until 8:00 PM PDT on August 29.
The National Weather Service San Diego issued the alert at 5:20 AM PDT on August 29. Dangerously hot conditions are expected to remain across the region until the warning expires at 8:00 PM PDT.
The affected locations include the Coachella Valley, San Diego County Deserts, and the San Gorgonio Pass near Banning. Daytime temperatures in these areas are forecasted to reach between 105 and 112 degrees.
According to weather officials, extreme heat events significantly increase the likelihood of heat-related illnesses. Residents and visitors in the impacted regions are advised to limit heat exposure.
