Extreme Heat Watch Issued for San Diego and Orange County Coastal Areas

Dangerously hot conditions are forecast for coastal Orange County and coastal San Diego County, with high temperatures possibly reaching 95 degrees. Officials note that extreme heat events significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Overnight relief will be limited as low temperatures are projected to stay around 5 to 7 degrees above normal. This is expected to affect individuals without access to adequate cooling facilities.
