The affected areas include Lake Mead NRA/Colorado River-AZ side, Northwest Deserts/Northwest Plateau, Death Valley National Park, Mojave Desert Including Morongo Valley/Yucca Valley, and the Lower Colorado River Valley. Also under the watch are Esmeralda and Nye County Deserts/CNC Dispatch, Lincoln County/Ely Dispatch, and Nye County Deserts/Las Vegas Dispatch.
Specifically, the Fire Weather Watch applies to fire weather zones 101 and 102 in Arizona; 227 and 229 in California; and 460, 461, 462, 463, 464, 465, and 466 in Nevada. Any fires that develop under these conditions are likely to spread rapidly.
