The affected locations in Nevada include Fire Weather Zones 460, 462, 463, 464, and 465. These cover the Esmeralda and Nye County Deserts/CNC Dispatch, Nye County Deserts/Las Vegas Dispatch, Sheep Range, Spring Mountains, and Clark and SW Lincoln County Deserts/Las Vegas Dispatch.
Weather conditions in these areas will feature south winds from 15 to 25 mph, with peak gusts reaching up to 35 mph. Relative humidity levels are predicted to range between 5 and 20 percent.
Due to the combination of low humidity and strong winds, any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended, and field fire crews and local officials have been advised of the watch.
