Flash Flood Warning Issued for Clark County, Nevada

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a high-severity Flash Flood Warning for Clark, Nevada, effective from October 11 at 7:12 AM PDT until October 11 at 8:30 AM PDT.

Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned area, with between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain having fallen. Flash flooding is currently ongoing as a result of the heavy rainfall.

The hazard poses a life-threatening risk due to flash flooding produced by the heavy rain. Impacts include life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

Locations expected to experience flash flooding include Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Spring Valley, Lone Mountain, The Strip, Centennial Hills, Mountains Edge, Fremont Street, Blue Diamond, Enterprise, Red Rock Canyon, Paradise, Aliante, Southern Highlands, Las Vegas Ballpark, Red Rock Canyon Campground, North Las Vegas Airport, Allegiant Stadium, and Harry Reid International Airport.
