Flood Watch Issued for Portions of Arizona, California, and Nevada

October 10, 2026 · wweather1 editorial · 1 min read

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Flood Watch affecting multiple areas across northwest Arizona, southeast California, and Nevada from October 10 through October 12.

The National Weather Service issued the Flood Watch on October 10 at 10:58 AM PDT, remaining in effect until October 12 at 5:00 AM PDT. Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible through late Sunday night.

Affected regions include portions of northwest Arizona such as the Hualapai Mountains and Lake Havasu, southeast California including the Eastern Mojave Desert and Morongo Basin, and areas in Nevada such as the Las Vegas Valley and Lincoln County.

Incoming tropical moisture will lead to widespread shower and thunderstorm activity, which may cause flash flooding. Excessive runoff could result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying or flood-prone locations, including poor drainage, urban areas, and low-water crossings.
