The watch began on June 14 at 9:31 PM CDT and will remain in effect through Tuesday evening, concluding on June 16 at 7:00 PM CDT. There is a potential for life threatening flooding somewhere within the watch area. Excessive runoff may lead to flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying or flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks, and low-water crossings could become flooded. Humid tropical air combined with a stalling front is expected to bring heavy rain. Isolated pockets may see rain totals of 8 inches or more, with rain rates potentially exceeding 2 to 3 inches per hour at times.
