The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a Flood Watch for Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties from Sunday morning through Monday afternoon. Heavy rainfall bands could cause urban and street flooding across the region.
The Flood Watch is active from 10:00 AM EST on November 1, 2026, until 3:00 PM EST on November 2, 2026. The watch encompasses inland, metropolitan, and coastal sections of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, as well as Far South Miami-Dade County.
An upper-level low moving over Florida will bring increased moisture and support for showers and storms through Monday. Strong low-level easterly flow will generate bands of repeated rainfall, leading to more widespread activity and higher rain rates than in recent days.
Scattered locations across the east coast could pick up 3 to 5 inches of rainfall through Monday, with isolated spots seeing accumulations as high as 5 to 7 inches over a few hours. High uncertainty remains regarding precise rainfall locations, but impacts may increase if the heaviest rain occurs near the coast during high tide.
The primary expected impacts include street flooding, potential road closures, and limited impacts to structures located in flood-prone areas.
