The specific areas under the warning include Esmeralda and Nye County Deserts/CNC Dispatch, Nye County Deserts/Las Vegas Dispatch, the Sheep Range, the Spring Mountains, and Clark and SW Lincoln County Deserts/Las Vegas Dispatch.
Weather forecasts indicate south winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph. Relative humidity levels are expected to drop between 5 and 20 percent, creating severe fire weather conditions where any fires that start are likely to spread rapidly.
