Peak winds are currently forecast between 20 and 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, though there remains potential for winds reaching 39 to 57 mph due to forecast uncertainty.
Expected wind impacts in the affected areas remain limited but include potential damage to porches, awnings, carports, sheds, and unanchored mobile homes. Unsecured lightweight objects may be blown about, and many large tree limbs could break off, with some shallow-rooted trees subject to snapping or uprooting.
Some fences and roadway signs may be blown over, and scattered power and communications outages are possible. A few roads could become impassable due to debris, particularly within urban or heavily wooded areas, creating hazardous driving conditions on bridges and elevated roadways.
No storm surge inundation is forecast, presenting little to no threat of storm surge flooding, though rough surf is expected. The wind and storm surge threats have remained nearly steady from previous assessments.
