The National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard CA has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for portions of southwest California. Dangerously hot conditions are possible from Tuesday morning through Thursday evening, with temperatures potentially reaching 95 to 112 degrees away from the coast.

The Extreme Heat Watch was issued on July 9 at 7:20 PM PDT and is in effect until July 16 at 8:00 PM PDT. It covers areas including the San Luis Obispo County Inland Central Coast, Santa Lucia Mountains, Santa Barbara County Inland Central Coast, Santa Ynez Valley, Santa Barbara County Southwestern Coast, Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast, Santa Ynez Mountains Western Range, Santa Ynez Mountains Eastern Range, and Ventura County B.
